The Upper Providence Little League,
located in Oaks, PA is a fully chartered Little League

chartered as a Little League organization since 1991, although
the organization has been in existence since the mid 1960's.
UPLL services the areas of Upper Providence Township,
Phoenixville, Royersford, Spring City, and Audubon. There are
over 700 children that participate in our league each year. We
accept all children ages 5 to 18 that want to play baseball
and softball. In addition UPLL has a challenger division for
children with special needs. As a member of Little League
Baseball our league is provided with the support and
guidelines form its headquarters in Williamsport, PA. Little
League Baseball was founded under the principle that all have
a right to play, and that the league will build character,
courage, and loyalty, as described within the Little League
logo.
The origin of the league can be traced
back as far as 1902 having many different names throughout the
years including the Oaks Lions Club, Oaks/ Audubon Youth
League. UPRA and now UPLL. The actual founding father of the
league was Jim Sherman. Jim formed the league in the fall of
1992 when the community voted to keep UPRA a participation
league. The travel team later became the Spring Ford Sting.
Even today, UPLL continues to be a strong feeder league for
their organization. Many of our players have moved onto very
successful college careers through participation in both
leagues. The original UPLL founding group included Jim Sherman
President, Ron Clark - Vice president, Paul Bochnack
