Prior to the 2015 season, Little League International changed the way that "league age" is calculated for players in our baseball divisions.  This forced UPLL to re-think how the baseball divisions from Midget A to Minors were formed and how players were assigned to these division.

Prior to the 2016 season, Little League International again changed the way that "league age" is calculated for players in our baseball divisions.  UPLL was again forced to evaluate how the divisions from Midget A to Minors were formed and what the best way to assign players to these division was.  This is a very complicated process that is not taken lightly. The Board at UPLL works hard to ensure that our players are placed into a division that gives them the best opportunity to be successful and has them eager to come back to UPLL year after year after year.

For the 2018 season, the following break down will be used for our baseball divisions -

  • Midget A is for players ages 6 – 7 years old. In Midget A, a pitching machine is used and it is typically placed at approximately 30' from home plate.  Players are placed on team rosters by division commissioners based on skill set and potential to be successful in this division

  • Midget AA is for players ages 7 - 8 years old.  In Midget AA, games are split between pitching machine and player pitch.  Players are placed on team rosters by division commissioners based on skill set and potential to be successful in this division.

  • Minors is for players ages 9 - 10.  In Minors, the games are player pitch

  • Majors is for players ages 11 - 12. In Majors, players play on 46/60

  • Intermediate is for players ages 11, 12 or 13 that particapte in our 50/70 program.

  • Juniors is for players ages 13 - 14.  In Juniors games are played on fields that are 60 / 90, the same dimensions that you will find in big league baseball.  This division is very competitive and most of the players have played baseball for several years.

  • Seniors is for players ages 15-16.  Games are played on fields 60/90 and most players in this division have played for several years.
