The Intermediate Division is for boys and girls, ages 11 through 13, and introduces youth players to additional advanced skills and concepts of baseball traditionally seen in high school, collegiate, and Major League Baseball. This allows players to further develop their capabilities learned in Little League Baseball.
Games are played on a field featuring a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths. These field dimensions are slightly larger than the traditional Little League field, consisting of a 46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths. Additionally, baserunners are permitted to take leads from each base and base stealing is allowed of any base. On-deck batters are also permitted.
