Upper Providence Travel Baseball

Upper Providence Travel Baseball is a local travel baseball program independent of UPLL.   UP Travel Baseball coordinates their schedules with UPLL and the managers at each level to follow the pitch rest requirements recommended for each age group knowing players will be playing on both UP Travel and a UPLL team.  The UP teams are made up entirely of players from Upper Providence Little League thru independent tryouts to create a travel team made up of friends and classmates from the Upper Providence area while providing a higher level of play for those looking for that opportunity.

The 8U and above divisions may play in both a spring and fall schedule primarily on Sundays.  In addition, teams will enter tournaments each year with most being local tournaments against area travel teams. Teams will practice 1-2 nights a week during the UPLL regular spring season and continue practices thru the summer, fall and winter with large breaks in the summer and winter to give players a rest.

Please note that there is a significant commitment that comes with being selected for a UP Travel Team.  Travel baseball is a great way for youth to develop the fundamentals of the game in a highly competitive environment with players at a similar level of skillset.  In order to compete at a high level, players will be expected to regularly attend practices and games through the course of the regular season (March to August).  Players will also commit to participation of off-season training and workouts as planned by their coach.  We expect and encourage players to participate in activities outside of baseball, but ask that during the season, players prioritize practice and games above outside extra-curricular activities.  It is the responsibility of each family to understand the commitment level from a time and financial perspective prior to trying out for a team.

Travel tryouts for 9u-12u teams will take place in the Fall while 7u and 8u taking place in the Spring.
